Nino was very enthusiastic about discovering engraving techniques (and I was very enthusiastic about discovering Nino). He arrived one morning with his pipe and his large coat for a trial day. We immediately got along, and that's how our friendship and his learning of engraving began.
Nino was a very diligent, hardworking, and perfectionist student. As he progressed through the workshops, he developed his engraving style by creating etching plates on a subject close to his heart: "navigation."
Before passing away, he wished for an edition to be made of his 13 engraved plates:
- 9 plates on the theme of navigation
- 3 plates on the theme of women
- 1 plate of the Montcuq tower
